I felt super nervous in my body during my pregnancy. I can remember walking into my usual morning Crossfit class and PANICKED when I saw the workout—would those cleans that used to make me feel so strong and empowered now actually hurt my baby? And something just didn’t feel right when my OB handed me a vague printout of foods to eat—juice and crackers were ok, but salmon and chicken thighs were not?
Postpartum was even more confusing. My body had completely changed, and I was now responsible for raising a tiny human. How do I help my body heal while simultaneously providing the best nutrition for my little one? How do I move my new body, and when do I start introducing movement? And, perhaps the most confusing—was taking care of myself selfish?
