It’s time we stop fearing the swimsuit

Pool parties. Backyard BBQs. Vacations at the beach.

Does this make you
a) excited to hang out, relax, and socialize?
b) anxious about having to be in bathing suits/shorts/tanks?

If you answered b, you are not alone. I used to practically starve myself and live on the treadmill from March-June because I was anxious about wearing shorts. Your girl's got thick thighs, and my cellulite makes me self-conscious.

But is our self-loathing and self-consciousness taking away from our enjoyment?

Unfortunately, most of the time, it is. We are so worried about our body in our swimsuit that we don't have fun, or even get in the water. We are so concentrated on our cellulite that we don't engage in meaningful conversations with our friends and family. We opt-out of games and activities because we are afraid of our jiggle.

We need to get tf over ourselves.

We are our own worst critic, and honestly, AIN'T NOBODY even looking at us because they are thinking about themselves (human nature, yo).

Wear the swimsuit, boo, and enjoy your summer.
